I love this sale because I stock up for the next school year! I did spend a lot this year, but I have 4 kids and this is ALMOST the only time I buy anything brand new! I'm having yard sale withdrawls! I bought 113 items.

I went back last night to get a few more deals! This was 5 transactions done at Albertson's & Target.

ALBERTSON'S:

2- cases of water=.64 each (I used a $ 3.50 catalina to pay for this transaction)
3-bags of bows= .19 each (90% off)
3- turkey basters= .13 each (90% off. Bought for bath toys!Thanks for the idea Annikan!)
7-bars of ivory soap= FREE/plus .51 overage on 2 bars, applied to hamburger helper)
1-Betty Crocker squeezable frosting= .36 (90% off)
5- packs of napkins= .14 each (90% off)
3- boxes of Hamburger/chicken helper= .16 each (would have been .50 each, but overage from the Ivory soap applied to this transaction)

TARGET:

10 Electrsol gel= .37 each (used $ 2.50 manufactured coupon. Asked the cashier first if these applied to the product, she scanned and said they worked. I was just tired of going to Walgreens, hoping they had dishwaser soap in stock, so I paid a little OOP. )

Dec. 6th deals...

The Albertsons sale started today! With lots of manufactured coupons, double coupons, and multiple catalina deals, there are some great deals right now!

2- Cottonelle toilet paper (12 jumbo rolls) (used $ 1.00 off printable & double = $ 2.99 each
23- boxes of Honey Nut Cherrios & Cinn. Toast crunch= .58
15- boxes of fruit snacks (buy 5, get a $ 3.50 catalina too!)

I bought 45 items. Averaged out, it came to .70 per item.


* You cannot but 11 boxes of fruit snacks and have 2 $ 3.50 catalinas print, we had the manager do a test run for us, only 1 $ 3.50 cat printed out, darn,)

2009 Round Up...

I cannot believe a full year has already passed! Holy Cow! After adding up my numbers, I am happy to report that by using coupons, shopping sales, buying on clearance & being careful with money, I have saved my family:

$ 10,419.21 this year!

Wahoo! Over 10,000 dollars, can you believe it?!

Just for fun this coming year, I'm going to keep track of how much I can feed my family of 6 on. The other day while we were eating dinner, I calculated how much our meal was and it was .50 total for everything! For lunch the other day, it was less than $2.00! I absoulty HATE to cook, but I love to add up how much the meals are, so maybe this new little game will help inspire me in the kitchen!

My friend Angie is the best, after she was done using her Kohl's coupons, she gave me the 2 left over, so Trav & I picked up bath robes for the girls last night. They will love them and I already bought Tristin's, so now they each have one.
