Oh, I love Albertson's. I didn't check on line this morning before I left to see that there were a TON of Kraft coupons! So, I printed a few more and went back. I bought:

4 bagel-fuls= .19 a box (used 2 IP's, 2 manufactured & 3 doubles)
2 Ritz crackers+ FREE (after in store coupon, manufactured coupon & Albertson's double coupon)
1- Wheat thin = FREE (used $ 1.00 IP & double coupon
1 BBQ = Free (just used $ 1.00 off IP)

Total Spent = $ 1.00 (including tax) My checker didn't do my double coupon right on my Ritz crackers so I made .25 in overage/ and then gave me a penny on my second transaction. Total should have been $ 1.26

I wasn't able to print the KFC meal coupons the other day (darn, I tried forever) but we had a bunch for the FREE piece of chicken coupons, so we grabbed 5 pieces the other day to try them out. Everyone loved them, (I can barely eat meat off the bone, so I was too grossed out to have an opinion!!)

At albertson's this week, you can make money off of the BBQ sauce & Easy Mac!!!
(wait until tomorrow for the $ 1.00 off catalina on the Easy Mac though.) This is apart of the buy $ 10.00 worth, get $ 3.00 off instantly deal. ( I used 8 .75 off BBQ manufactured coupons and 1 IP B1G1 free coupon for this deal.)

I bought:

I'm teaching another coupon class!

My friends and I started a blog a few months ago called Discount Queens (Our button is to the right) and we will be holding our first coupon class on May 12th @ 8:00 PM @ the Boise YMCA. (It is located off of Cloverdale/Chinden)

The class is FREE to attend and we are accepting any food/basic need donation at the door. (we will donate all items to a local shelter in need) Plus there will be prizes to win!

Don't shop at Walgreens at 4:00 AM!

I decided to go to Walgreens this morning at 4:oo AM because I couldn't sleep, and naturally, I had a super-fabulous shopping experience that I had to share...

Tranaction # 1= Glucose monitor

Problem: Checker didn't know how to use the manufactured coupon. Calls manager over.
He tells her to write $ 14.99 on the coupon and deduct the amount.

Good news: I recieve My $ 5.00 RR


Transaction # 2= Nivia body wash & high lighter

Problem: The highlighter rings up at the wrong clearanced price. Checker calls manager over.

Good news: manager tells her correct price, checker fixes the problem and I recieve my next $ 5.00 RR

Transaction # 3= 2 packages of Pull Ups

Problem # 1: The Catalina machine jams and checker cannot fix the problem.
Problem # 2:Then she informs me that if I have other items with RR's, I will not be able to get them because it is jammed. Nicely I ask, " Can we use another register then?" Irrated, she calls over the manager, AGAIN and tells him it won't print.
Problem # 3: The manager looks at my diapers & manufactured coupons and says, " It won't print because you can't use manufactured coupons and get a RR back." SERIOULSLY!! I'm thinking! I nicely say, " But I used a coupon for the moniter and my RR printed just fine. And that's not even the problem, it's the machine, it is jammed, can we use a different one?"
Problem # 4:He said "No." but unjams the machine and then continued to tell me I needed to buy another item if I wanted it to work. Looking at my coupons, I realized, I forget to grab another highlighter as my filler (so I could use all my coupons/RR's, because I was rolling them ) MY MISTAKE!!.So I apoligized and said, "Well, lets just ring up another highlighter then.
Problem # 5: Someone comes up behind me in line.
Problem # 6: The highlighter rings up at the wrong price again. Manager helps her and then walks away.
Problem # 7: The manager lied to me about opening another register because he says to the guy behind me, " I can help you over on this register?"
Problem # 8: The checker then looks at me and says, I can't use that (my RR, that wouldn't work previous to them adding the highlighter), "Will you try now? I asked nicely. Magically, IT WORKED! I recieved my $ 2.00 RR

Transaction # 4: 3 Suave hair products. Used manufactured coupon & recieved my $ 2.00 RR

Seriously, could it have been any more difficult????????? The checker was getting all huffy & puffy and She even asked the manager half way through, "Can't I ring up all these in 1 transaction?" What else was she doing at 4:00 in the morning? Really??? I thanked them both for helping me and kindly walked out of the store. GRRRR....

I was just at Albertson's picking up a few things when one of the managers told me about the refried bean deal. (I'm so out of it, it may be floating around out there somewhere and I just don't know) He said they just found out about it this morning, so I tried it, and it worked at both Nampa stores!

Buy 4 Taco BEll refried beans on sale for $ 1.00 each
a $ 3.00 Catalina will print out making it .25 a can!
You can roll your catalina's onto your next transaction too!
(This is 5 transactions)

( I usually buy the huge can of refried beans at Costco, put it in individual bags and then freeze them, but it is nice to have smaller cans for food storage too, and .25 isn't too bad!)

I'm teaching a coupon class at the Nampa Library ...

The Nampa library contacted me a few months ago about teaching a coupon class in April as a part of their Consumer Education week, so of course I said "yes!" I was thrilled, I could talk about coupons for hours!(Sadly, I'm now regreting that decision in fear I might throw up in their garbage can!)Wish me luck!

Just in case you know of anyone needing the basics, the class is Thursday, April 2nd & starts at 6:00 PM, lasts 1 hour and is FREE. (Or if you are really bored that night, just come and make silly faces at me.)

2 Oral B toothbrushes = .54 after using $ 2.00 RR (Trav will ONLY use super nice toothbrushes, & these were on clearance)

4 bags of candy = 2.00 (last week Albertson's doubled coupons/these were .50 a bag. Only 1 pictured)

2 candy bars = $ 1.00 (filler items)

I finally got to use my gas rewards after several failed attempts! I only paid .31 a gallon! It was about time I got a deal on gas! I spent $ 5.50 for 17 gallons of gas!
