April 15th deals...

I was just at Albertson's picking up a few things when one of the managers told me about the refried bean deal. (I'm so out of it, it may be floating around out there somewhere and I just don't know) He said they just found out about it this morning, so I tried it, and it worked at both Nampa stores!

Buy 4 Taco BEll refried beans on sale for $ 1.00 each
a $ 3.00 Catalina will print out making it .25 a can!
You can roll your catalina's onto your next transaction too!

( I usually buy the huge can of refried beans at Costco, put it in individual bags and then freeze them, but it is nice to have smaller cans for food storage too, and .25 isn't too bad!)

April ? deal and no picture...

I just wanted to get this documented. Sorry there is no picture. Last week i did the spend $ 25 get $ 10 off purchase at Albertson's and bought mostly sugar. I realized we need some junk food so I bought:

2 Byers ice cream
3 oreos cookies
4 Nabisco snack cookies
4 Kraft mayo
1 lettuce

I used my 15% off coupons
$ 5.00 calalina
& $ 3.50 in coupons

Total Spent= $ 11.56

I used all of my RR's from last week's chapstick deal, to buy my Easter stuff. ( I actually lost 1 RR :( , but I had 6 to use totaling $ 12.00. These were not the best deals around, but I needed to use them up, so it worked.

I'm teaching a coupon class at the Nampa Library ...

The Nampa library contacted me a few months ago about teaching a coupon class in April as a part of their Consumer Education week, so of course I said "yes!" I was thrilled, I could talk about coupons for hours!(Sadly, I'm now regreting that decision in fear I might throw up in their garbage can!)Wish me luck!

Just in case you know of anyone needing the basics, the class is Thursday, April 2nd & starts at 6:00 PM, lasts 1 hour and is FREE. (Or if you are really bored that night, just come and make silly faces at me.)

This past month has been horrible, I've been so sick and in bed 6 1/2 days out of the week. I'm so grateful to be pregnant, i just want this to end!!! The only reason I went out today was because we were out of milk! I'm about to hop back in bed. Sorry I haven't been helpful lately! I made a few trips this morning and bought:

18 boxes of cereal at Albertson's. (Did 3 transactions)@ $ 1.57 per box
(6 boxes = $ 9.42- $ 3.00 Manufactured coupons-$ 5.00 catalina = $ 1.42/.23 a box!)

5 softsoap body washes at Walgreens = FREE after RR(pay $ 3.99 1st transaction/recieve a FREE coupon on your next body wash. YOU CAN ROLL THESE RR'S!!! )

3 Shimmer Chapsticks at Walgreens = FREE after $ 2.00 RR (pay $ 1.99/recieve 2.00 RR)

2 Oral B toothbrushes = .54 after using $ 2.00 RR (Trav will ONLY use super nice toothbrushes, & these were on clearance)

4 bags of candy = 2.00 (last week Albertson's doubled coupons/these were .50 a bag. Only 1 pictured)

2 candy bars = $ 1.00 (filler items)

I finally got to use my gas rewards after several failed attempts! I only paid .31 a gallon! It was about time I got a deal on gas! I spent $ 5.50 for 17 gallons of gas!

March 17th deals...

Today is the last day to use double coupons at Albertson's, so I picked up some juice for Tristin's lunches for .95 a box (used 4 .55 off manufactured coupons & Albertson's double) & 6 bottles of McCormick seasonings for FREE. They are on sale for $ 2.00. Used 6 $ 1.00 off manufactured coupons & Albertson's double coupon)

total Spent= $ 4.31
Total Savings= $ 27.10

March 16th deals...

I used my $ 20.oo in RR's at Walgreens to get more diapers. They were $ 4.50 a pack, so I picked up 5. I can't apply this to my total, because I already factored in my $ 20.00 discount on the Huggies diapers, I just wanted to post that I got more! I saved $ 37.45. (Our store didn't have the other coupon book with the $ 2.00 off coupon, darn.)

You guessed it, I'm pregnant!

I was planning on keeping it quiet for a few more weeks, until the first trimester was over, but my Dr. appointment went great and she said the baby looked perfect, so I thought this would be a great time to explain why my deal shopping has been almost zero these days. I've been miserable the past few weeks and I haven't been out to get too many deals. I've ran a few errands on the days I've had to work, and then just been in bed & hanging over the toilet for the rest of the week. All I've wanted to do is lay in bed and watch Oprah. I'm 10 weeks, and hopeful that this pregnancy will go well. After losing the baby in November, I've been really scared this time around to get excited, but I know this baby is waiting to join our family, so, I'll pray even harder and hope even more that this one makes it.

March 11th deals...

I stopped at Albertson's to get a few things on sale. I bought 2 things of ice cream for $ 1.39 w/ in store coupon, hot dogs .99 w/ instore coupon, grapes for .99 a pound, hot dog buns & sour cream (no picture) and Walgreens to use my last coupons for shampoo & gel, the socks were .50

Albertsons Total = $ 8.37
Savings= $ 6.59

Walgreens Total = $ 1.04 (used gift card)
Total savings= $ 12.00

Total spent= $ 8.37
Total savings= $ 18.59

Zero computer skills...

Lets just say my computer skills are practically zero which has made blogging frustrating because I've never known how to make mine cute or add things to it. I sat down for a few hours determined to figure it out, so I'm proud of what I've done so far! I'm learning!

I had to work yesterday, so I stopped at a few Walgreens in Boise to try to get my Huggies. After a few trips, I got them! I bought 1 pack of newborn diapers, 2 packs of sz. 1, 2 packs of sz. 2 & 1 pack of sz. 4. I used 4 $ 5.00 off internet coupons & 2 $ 3.00 off internet coupons & received $ 20.00 back in RR's (After coupons & RR's, I spent $ 1.66 for 3 packs & $ 3.00 for the other 3 packs!
